It was such an enriching experience to support Sophie Huckfield during her visits to WGS to produce a film for BAS9 on the concept of 'Many Hands Make Light Work'. The aim of the film was to showcase moments in Wolverhampton history when communities came together to make a change.
WGS was one of 5 schools lucky enough to be involved with the project, each assigned a word from the title to form the basis of their film. Over the course of 3 days of workshops, recordings and filming, our students explored what it means to 'make', and turned a storyboard of their ideas into a film that combined audio with relief printed text and animation.
You can watch the films on Vimeo here: https://vimeo.com/666489860
although I highly recommend catching the Exhibition, hosted across Wolverhampton Art Gallery and Wolverhampton School of Art.
